Starting Salary: £40k-£50k pro rata
The opportunity has arisen for an experienced part time commercial lawyer with good contracts experience to join Zen Internet as the sole in-house legal counsel. The successful candidate will play an important role in providing Zen Internet with legal support and guidance.
As in-house lawyer you will be expected to provide legal support to the business and the management team and will be responsible for advising on a wide range of legal and contractual matters, managing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating technology and other commercial agreements, managing external counsel, advising on disputes and risk management issues, setting up best practice within the company and dealing with other ad-hoc legal matters.
In addition, your remit will extend to supporting the company secretary function. As well as responding to requests, you will be expected to be pro-active and take the initiative in identifying and analysing relevant legal and regulatory issues.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ PQE experience handling a broad range of commercial legal issues. Knowledge or exposure to IT services is essential. Other important skills and qualities include the ability to building strong relationships both internally and externally, a good team player with strong communication skills and a down to earth approach.
