What do I need to do to get it?

Order the package which suits you best from: http://www.zen.co.uk/hosting/

    What does cPanel support?

The cPanel servers are Linux servers. The Web server software is Apache.

    The cPanel server supports:

    • PHP
    • CGI Scripts
    • MySQL Databases
    • Multiple websites *

    * Available to Gold, Platinum and Reseller packages only.

How do I upload files to the Web space?

Any FTP software is fine for this purpose. SmartFTP is recommended as it is easy to use, includes lots of advanced features and is available as Shareware! See www.smartftp.com to download a copy.

A couple of other shareware FTP clients suitable for the purpose are LeechFTP and WS-FTP.

A separate guide to using FTP to upload files is available in the Knowledge Base.

You can do this from any computer connected to the Internet.  There is no need to be on a Zen IP address.

The server name for uploading files is the same as your domain name. The username and password used are either designated by yourself (i.e. you have created an FTP account) or provided to you by Zen.

How do I send e-mail through the server?

You can send e-mail through the server from any IP address as the server supports SMTP authentication. Just enable SMTP authentication in your e-mail program using the same username and password as you'd use to check e-mail.
