Zen Annual Partner Events

We have been hosting our Annual Partner Events for over 10 years now. It is a great opportunity to get our partners together in one room to update them on Zen, find out about their businesses and most importantly have some fun!

The last decade has seen us move through a host of different venues and fun activities, from crazy golf, darts and most recently the zoo! And lets not forget that year we had to go virtual - we weren't going to miss out on the event just because of a pandemic!

2022

Empowering our Partners

This year saw us venture down to the rather unique venue that was The Slate in Coventry. Chosen due to the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating for sustainable design, construction and operation and the hospitality business within runs on a goal to reduce any negative impact the business may have on the environment.

The event provided the usual business updates, technical inputs and celebratory awards for our Partners. This year we also mixed things up and invite some of you, our partners up onto the stage, to talk about the benefits of working together. We had talks with Pinnacle about Cloud, Myson Pages about Cloud Comms and FirstCom Europe about Connectivity. You can watch the videos below.

2021

A Force for Good at Chester Zoo

For the 2021 event we were back in action with our face to face event. Held at the world-famous Chester Zoo the event had a focus on sustainability and conservation.

With the usual talks from Openreach and our leadership team, as well as a private tour round the Zoo, the VIP lanterns event and an informative talk from one of the zookeepers!

Full steam ahead for full fibre and more

Zen Portfolio Management Director Dave Barber was keen to give his take on the full fibre opportunity and what it means from both a channel partner and customer perspective.

It’s no secret that Openreach has pledged to pass 25 million homes and businesses by 2026 – that’s 75,000 per week – but they once again reaffirmed their commitment to this journey. And Dave took the opportunity to explore the importance of take up and what this will mean to the channel.

Life Reconnected: a virtual event

An event with a difference: Creating moments of magic

Although we had to go virtual in 2020, as with tradition we did make an effort to keep some of the light and fun elements with a virtual juggling lesson from Monty Gupwell, a cocktail making session with singer and comedian Chrissy Bray and all our delegates were sent a welcome pack full of treats to enjoy on the day.

We were delighted to host Clive Selley, CEO, Openreach as our keynote speaker at 2020's virtual Annual Partner event. We have to admit we were a little bit glowing when Clive couldn’t have been more complementary of us.

He said, “Zen is very special. It sets the gold standard for the way it values people. I see that when I visit Zen. Zen’s brand is about excellence in customer service and the place oozes that value."

In general Clive shared key updates giving an exclusive overview to our Zen Partners of Openreach’s current strategy. Much of his presentation covered the finer details of the company’s full fibre roll out plan and the opportunity that this represents.
