It can be easy to interpret things to imagine there’s no possible way that anything can be done, but the truth is actually a little different.

At this time, the safety of engineers and customers is absolutely paramount, and this has influenced the decisions of suppliers like Openreach to suspend all work requiring engineers to enter premises, except in the case of vulnerable customers and key national infrastructure. So, any jobs requiring a new phone or Ethernet line won’t start until 1st June at the earliest.

If there’s an active line into the business premises however, there’s still plenty that can be done as normal. Like upgrades and regrades for example. You can still order ADSL and FTTC, and our cloud services don’t require an engineer visit. Even if you’re looking for a new Ethernet leased line, it’s worth going through the order process now. Given the average lead times for Ethernet orders, it’s likely that ordering now will actually reduce any potential delays.
