Today we are sharing the story of our very own Nicola Brumell, who is Head of WIT in Channel.

How long have you worked in the tech industry?

22 years (I am showing my age!)

What is your job?

I manage the Desk Based Account Management and Aquisition Team within the Partner Division. I am also Head of Women in Technology here at Zen Internet. Our team are responsible for delivering new revenues and growing existing accounts whilst maintaining an excellent partner experience.

What do you love about being a Woman in Tech?

I appreciate the unique perspective that being a woman offers. Women often possess a heightened awareness of the importance of ensuring that others have the opportunity to express themselves and be acknowledged. I do not believe that my identity as a woman in the technology sector alters my approach to my work; rather, I observe the significant value that diversity contributes to a team.

What advice would you give to other women seeking a career in Tech?

Cultivate a network of supportive individuals.
Embrace the challenge of leaving your comfort zone and seize opportunities, as they present valuable chances for personal development and learning. Ultimately, do not allow factors such as gender, race, or any other barriers to hinder your progress. You possess the ability to forge your own path to success and realize your aspirations, so remain steadfast in your commitment to yourself.
