Today we are sharing the story of Natalie Strange, who is Managing Director of RPS Telecom.

How long have you worked in the tech industry?

Over 10 years.

What is your current role?

Managing Director of RPS Telecom also Co-Chair of the CCUK Women in Telecoms Group.

What do you love about being a Woman in Tech?

What I love about being a woman in tech is the opportunity to thrive in a field that’s traditionally male-dominated, proving that success is about skill, passion, and hard work - not gender. I enjoy the technical side of my role, constantly learning and solving problems, but I also value the human element, understanding people and building meaningful relationships. I love the support I receive from peers and the incredible network of women in tech space, it’s empowering to be part of a community where we uplift and inspire one another to achieve more.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my journey is being a strong role model for my two boys. They see firsthand that anyone can break through barriers and thrive in any field, and I hope this inspires them to support and champion this in their own lives when they are older.

At RPS, I’m proud of the culture we’ve built over the past 20 years, one that champions women in tech and supports every team member to thrive and succeed. We believe that when people feel valued and supported, they can achieve incredible things, a principle that has always been a key value of our business. It’s inspiring to lead a company that not only drives innovation but also celebrates and nurtures the people behind it.

What advice would you give to other women seeking a career in Tech?

Recognise your unique strengths, trust your abilities, and push back against imposter syndrome. You belong in this space and your perspective matters. Confidence in your knowledge and capabilities can help you overcome stereotypes and ensure your voice is heard, even in male-dominated environments.

At the same time, seek out connections with other women in the telecoms and tech space. Building a network of allies, mentors, and peers will not only open doors to new opportunities but also provide you with a strong support system. Networking goes beyond professional growth - it’s about surrounding yourself with people who inspire you and advocate for your success.

Treat every person you interact with as important, regardless of their title or position. The way you treat others reflects your character and can open unexpected doors. Telecoms is a relationship-driven industry, and the person you respect today could become a key ally tomorrow.

Your work ethic will often speak louder than words. Hard work builds credibility and positions you as a reliable, go-to professional in a competitive industry. Strive for excellence in every project, take ownership of your role, and let your results speak for themselves.
