We recognise the number of women employed in the tech industry and in leadership roles is a sector-wide issue. At Zen we're committed to doing much more to promote equality for all and encourage us to challenge stereotypes, bias and perception
Our Women in Tech Support Network of women and men from across Zen is helping to make a difference through removing barriers, learning, mentoring, educating, championing, and encouraging women both inside and outside Zen to consider a career in technology. Be part of our future, check out our latest roles and technology opportunities
To increase our diversity in Zen by encouraging more female applicants and employees into Technology roles.
To increase awareness for aspiring Women in Tech around the opportunities available working with colleges, schools and returners to work.
Ensure we offer support at all stages of a woman’s career and help her develop throughout her time at Zen.
Our Women in Tech programme is driving day to day changes across Zen, our people and our industry. We’re working hard as a business to look at ways we recruit, support and embrace Women in Technology to make it more accessible for all.

We are proud of our Step into Tech programme, not just because it is our first women focussed upskilling programme, but because it has already given many women the opportunity to develop their skills and confidence - we have so far employed 6 new women in the role Technical Support consultant on the back of the first programme! In fact, the programme was so successful that it was shortlisted for the Women in IT Educate and Develop award in June 2021!
The week long programme is designed to build transferrable technology industry skills, as well as inspire women, to take their first steps into a technology role….…but it’s not just training! It also includes the amazing opportunity to interview for the Technical Support Consultant positions at the end of the programme!
It includes a blend of live virtual workshops and self-serve digital content, covering topics such as broadband and internet technologies, customer experience skills, and even topics such as Growth Mindset and Confidence building. In addition, we have our very own inspirational women in tech join the sessions to talk about their own journeys into technology and run Q&A sessions about careers in tech.
The programme is aimed at any woman who has either an interest or passion in technology and is interested in pursuing a career in technology – customer service experience is also helpful!
We will be running the programme annually, so if you’re interested keep your eyes peeled on the vacancy section of the website and our social media platforms! You are neither too old, too young, too experienced, or inexperienced to start on your journey...
